15. How compatible are Databeacon Smart Client and Databeacon Open Client products?

Databeacon Smart Client and Databeacon Open Client are two distinct product families, with different capabilities, features and target implementation solutions. That said, they both share Databeacon’s OLAP technology heritage, and have very similar versions of Databeacon’s Client OLAP Reporting Environment (CORE) technology. Databeacon development engineers have gone to great lengths to ensure that the two products behave in a similar manner, thereby reducing time to market for new platform developments and ongoing maintenance. As the following technology stack diagram shows, Databeacon developers have enabled common design wherever possible.
