17. What is the migration path for customer currently using Databeacon Open Client who want to move to Databeacon Smart Client?

A Migration Utility ships with Databeacon Smart Client Standard and Databeacon Smart Client Professional products. It migrates reports from a Databeacon Open Client report store to the new file system structure used by Databeacon Smart Client products. Note that this is a unidirectional migration.

Customers that deploy Databeacon Open Client applications will be able to use the following Databeacon objects with Databeacon Smart Client product deployments:

• Cubes (cb4)
• Profiles (dp4)
• Scripts (ds4)
• Reports

The following Databeacon Open Client product features will not work in Databeacon Smart Client applications:

• Applet parameters
• Experience levels
• PageCubes
• PageEnhancer API - Convert to Web Reporter API application and/or Databeacon Player
