Open Client Products

Report storage is handled differently. Databeacon Open Client products set up a Report Store at the server. Databeacon Smart Client products save reports to the file system, either at the server or on the client

By the very nature of its design, Databeacon Smart Client products will not support experience levels or PageCubes set in Databeacon Open Client products.

Features found in Databeacon Open Client products but not in Databeacon Smart Client products include:

• Collaboration
• Work Offline
• Custom Action
• Cube to Cube
• Filter by Pattern
• Login as Report Administrator
• Support for Microsoft Analysis Services
• Localized UI
• Databeacon Smart Client products run exclusively on Microsoft Windows, with a .NET Framework and Internet Explorer for the browser. Databeacon Open Client products run on most operating systems with a standard Java-enabled browser.
